Calculate distances and angles

You can get information about the relation between two points by inquiring distance. You can get information as following:

Distance = 1525.7461, Angle in XY Plane = 29, Angle from XY Plane = 0
Delta X = 1332.6216, Delta Y = 742.9812, Delta Z = 0.0000

How to calculate the distances and angles:

1. Do one of the following:

• Type DIST or DI and press Enter.
• Choose Tools > Inquiry > Distance.
• Click the Distance tool on the Inquiry toolbar.

2. Specify two points.

Calculating area

With the AREA command, you can specify a sequence of points or select an object such as circle or closed polyline to calculate the area and perimeter. You can also calculate the combined area of more than one objects by adding or subtracting area from the total area. Total area and perimeter are saved in the AREA and PERIMETER system variables.
