Function Description:
Specifies drawing sheets that you can assemble, reorder, rename, copy, and save for publishing as a multi-sheet drawing set. The sheet set can be published to DWF, DWFx or PDF files, they can also be published to a plotter named in page setup for exporting or plotting. Users can save the sheet set to be a DSD file. The saved sheet set can override or be added to the existing list for republishing.
Dialog Box Options:
Sheet list
Displays the current Sheet Set (DSD) or Batch Plot (BP3) files.
Load Sheet List…:
Displays the Load sheet list dialog box. Users can select a DSD or BP3 file to load.
Save Sheet List:
Displays the Save List As dialog box. Users can save the current sheet list to be a DSD file. The DSD file is used to describe the sheet set list and some of selected layout list.
Publish to
Defines the style of publishing the list of sheets. You can publish to a multi-sheet DWF, DWFx or PDF (an electronic drawing set) file, or to a plotter named in the page setup (a paper drawing set or a set of plot files).
- Plotter named in page setup: Uses the specified output device which defined in the page setup to publish.
- DWF, DWFx or PDF: Selects the output file format: DWF, DWFx or PDF.
Automatically load all open drawings
After checking this option, all open drawings are automatically loaded to the publish list. Without checking this option, it only loads the current drawing to the publish list.
List of Sheets buttons
Add Sheets:
Displays the Select Drawings dialog box, from which users can select a drawing and add to
the sheet list. The layout names from drawing files are extracted and one
sheet is added to the list of drawing sheets for each layout or model.
The original name of a drawing is based on its drawing name and layout name, separated by a
dash (-).
Remove sheets:
Deletes the selected drawing sheets from the sheet list.
Move Sheet Up:
Moves the selected drawing sheets up one position in the sheet list.
Move Sheet Down:
Moves the selected drawing sheets down one position in the sheet list.
Preview:
When executing the PREVIEW command, it displays the drawing as the style of plotting. Pressing ESC to exit
the print preview and go back to the Publish dialog box.
Note: If a sheet contains a 3D DWF page setup, the Preview button is disabled.
The sheet to be published
It contains all drawings to be published. Clicking the page setup to change the drawing settings. Users can add a drawing or modify the list by shortcut menu.
- Sheet Name:
The drawing name is composed by the drawing name and layout name connected by a
dash (-). Only if the Include Model When Adding Sheets option is selected,
it only includes the Model tab. Users can copy a drawing by selecting Copy Selected Sheets in
the shortcut menu. They can rename the drawing by selecting Rename Sheet in
the shortcut menu. The DWF, DWFx or PDF file should has the unique name.
Users can also remove selected drawings by selecting Remove in the shortcut menu.
Note: The PUBLISHALLSHEETS system variable controls drawings in the sheet to be published. - 3D DWF/Page Setup: Displays the named page setup. Clicking the name of page setup, users can change a page setup by selecting another page setup. The model tab page setups can only be applied on model tab sheets, and the paper space page setups can only be applied on paper space layouts. In the Import Page Setups for Publishing dialog box, selecting Import, it can import page setups from another DWG file.
- Status: It displays the drawing status when loading it to the sheet list.
Show/Hide Details
Shows or hides details for the selected drawing and selected page setup information.
Publish Options Information
Displays a summary of the currently selected publish options.
- Publish Options: It displays the Publish Options dialog box, from which users can specify the publish options.
Publish Output
- Number of copies: Specifies the number of copies. If selecting Plot to DWF, DWFx or PDF option, the number of copies is default to 1 and can not be changed. If the page setup is to plot to file, this option will be ignored, it only creates a single plot file.
- Precision:
It is used to optimize the DPI file for DWF, DWFx or PDF files in the
following fields: Manufacturing, Architecture or Civil Engineering. Users
can set customized precision in the Precision Presets Manager dialog box.
This settings overrides the DPI settings in the .PC3 driver. Selecting nothing in Publish to:
pull down list, this option is disabled.
Note: The precision is suitable for all drawings in the list except 3D DWF model space. - Include plot stamp: Places a plot stamp at a specified point and records it in a file. The data of the plot stamp can be specified in the Plot Stamp dialog box. Even this option is available in 3D DWF drawing, checking it, it can not be added to a 3D DWF or DWFx file.
Plot
Stamp Settings:
Displays the Plot Stamp dialog box, from which users can specify the
information to apply to the plot stamp, such as drawing name and plot scale.- Publish in background: Switches to publish selected drawings in background.
- Open in viewer when done: Users can view the DWF, DWFx or PDF file in viewer after published.
Publish
Starts to publish. According to options selected in Publish to and Publish options, it can create one or more single-sheet for DWF, DWFx or PDF files, or multi-sheet for one DWF, DWFx or PDF file, or plots to a device or file.
