UNDO Function Improvements — GstarCAD 2026
UNDO Function Improvements
Users often perform various view-related operations on drawings, such as panning, zooming, and layer-related operations. However, these operations were not previously combined into a single record. If users wanted to undo the changes made before, they had to perform multiple undo operations, which was inconvenient.
In the 2025 version of GstarCAD, the UNDO function supports the combination of panning and zooming operations, as well as layer operations. After the combination, multiple panning and zooming actions can be undone in one go, and multiple consecutive layer operations can also be undone in one go, eliminating the need for repetitive operations.
Support for Combined Pan and Zoom Functions via Mouse and Commands
There are two ways to pan: the PAN command and mouse operation, which is to hold the middle mouse button and then drag the mouse (IntelliPan).
Similarly, there are two ways to zoom: the ZOOM command and mouse operation, which is to scroll the middle mouse button to zoom (IntelliZoom).
The combination results in various scenarios are detailed in the table below (identical to AutoCAD):
| Scenario | Combination Result |
| Consecutive PANS | Pan |
| Consecutive IntelliPans | Pan |
| Consecutive ZOOMs | Zoom |
| Consecutive IntelliZooms | Zoom |
| Consecutive PAN + IntelliPan | Pan |
| Consecutive ZOOM + IntelliZoom | Zoom |
| Consecutive PAN + IntelliZoom / ZOOM + IntelliPan | Pan and Zoom |
| Consecutive PAN + ZOOM | Pan and Zoom |
| Consecutive IntelliPan + IntelliZoom | Pan and Zoom |
Support for Layer Merging
After performing operations on layers in the "Layer Properties Manager" panel (such as creating new layers, turning layers on/off, freezing layers, locking layers, etc.), the operations will be combined into "LAYER" in the quick access toolbar UNDO operation history.
Compatibility
Compatible with the UNDOCTL system variable, consistent with AutoCAD.。
The OPTIONS "Options" dialog box supports changes to related options, as shown in the figure below:
