To Display a Grid and Set the Grid Spacing
- Click Tools > Drafting Settings on the main menu or enter DSETTINGS at the command prompt. The grid can also be turned on and off with the F7.
- The Drafting Settings dialog box is displayed, under the Snap and Grid tab, click Grid On.
- Under the Snap Type panel, make sure Grid Snap and Rectangular Snap are selected.
- In the Grid X Spacing box, enter the horizontal grid spacing in units.
- Modify other settings as needed.
