To Display a Grid and Set the Grid Spacing

  1. Click Tools > Drafting Settings on the main menu or enter DSETTINGS at the command prompt. The grid can also be turned on and off with the F7.
  2. The Drafting Settings dialog box is displayed, under the Snap and Grid tab, click Grid On.
  3. Under the Snap Type panel, make sure Grid Snap and Rectangular Snap are selected.
  4. In the Grid X Spacing box, enter the horizontal grid spacing in units.
  5. Modify other settings as needed.
