To Align Two Objects in 2D and 3D

To Align Two Objects in 2D
- Do one of the followings:
- Select Modify > 3D Operations > Align on the main menu.
- Type ALIGN or AL and press Enter.
- Select the objects that you want to align.
- Specify one pair of points, the selected object will be moved from a source point to a destination point. When specifying two pairs of points, they can align the selected object to another one by moving, rotating or scaling it. The first source point aligns to the first destination point; the second pair of points defines the rotation angle. It will prompt to scale objects after entering the second pair of points. The distance from the first destination point to the second destination point is the reference of scale length.
- Press Enter to end the command.
To Align Two Objects in 3D
- Do one of the followings:
- Select Modify > 3D Operations > 3D Align on the main menu.
- Click the 3D Align tool on the Modeling toolbar.
- Type 3DALIGN and press Enter.
- Select the objects that you want to align.
- Specify one point, two points or three points as source points and specify one point, two points or three points as destination points. The first point is called the base point.
