The HPGAPTOL system variable is used to treat a set of objects or a closed region as a closed hatch boundary.

The HPGAPTOL system variable could specify a region without a gap. The default value is 0. Entering a value by drawing unit to set the maximum gap that can be ignored when selecting objects to be hatch boundaries.
