DDEDIT Command

Function Description:
This command is used to edit single line text, dimension text, attribute definitions and feature control frames.
Command Access:
Icon:
Menu: Text > Edit
Ribbon: Annotation > Text > Edit
Toolbar: Text > Edit
Command: DDEDIT
Alias: /
Shortcut: Select text object and right-click, and then select "Edit"
Command Prompts:
Select an annotation object or [Undo]:
Select an annotation object
According to different text types, it will display different edit methods.
1.When specifying the TEXTED system variable to 0 or 2, texts created by TEXT command will not display "Edit
Text" dialog box, but display the in-place Text Editor without ruler.
2.Texts created by MTEXT command will display in-place Text Editor.
3.Attribute definitions will display "Edit Attribute Definition" dialog box. The attribute definition is not a part of block definition.
4.Feature control frames display "Geometric Tolerance" dialog box.
The DDEDIT command will not stop prompting until press ENTER.
Undo
Returns back to the previous value of text or definition. Users can give up editing by this option.
