To Work With Layer States

To Save Layer Settings to a Layer State

  1. Click Format > Layer States Manager on the main menu.
  2. The Layer States Manager dialog box is displayed, click New button.
  3. The New Layer State to Save dialog box is displayed, enter a name for the new layer state, or choose a name from the list. You can also add a description. Click OK.
  4. Click Close.

To Change Layer Settings Within a Layer State

  1. Click Format > Layer States Manager on the main menu.
  2. The Layer States Manager dialog box is displayed, click Edit button.
  3. The Edit Layer State dialog box is displayed, in which you can change the layer settings, and click OK.
  4. Click Close.

To Add Layers to a Layer State

  1. Click Format > Layer States Manager on the main menu.
  2. The Layer States Manager dialog box is displayed, click the layer state to which you want to add layers, and click Edit.
  3. The Edit Layer State dialog box is displayed, click Add Layer to Layer State button.
  4. The Select Layers to Add to Layer State dialog box is displayed, click the layers that you want to add. Click OK.
  5. Click Close.

To Remove a Layer from a Layer State

  1. Click Format > Layer States Manager on the main menu.
  2. The Layer States Manager dialog box is displayed, click the layer state which you want to remove a layer, and click Edit.
  3. The Edit Layer State dialog box is displayed, click the layers that you want to remove.
  4. Click Remove Layer from Layer State button. Click OK.
  5. Click Close.

To Export a Layer State

  1. Click Format > Layer States Manager on the main menu.
  2. The Layer States Manager dialog box is displayed, click the layer state that you want to export, and click Export.
  3. The Export Layer State dialog box is displayed, specify a destination folder for the layer state (*.las) file, and click Save.

To Import Layer Settings from a Layer State (*.las) File

  1. Click Format > Layer States Manager on the main menu.
  2. The Layer States Manager dialog box is displayed, click Import button.
  3. The Import Layer State dialog box is displayed, select the LAS file that you want to use and click Open.
  4. Select to close the dialog box or restore one of the layer states.
