To Modify Polylines

GstarCAD 2027 · Command Reference

To Stretch a Segment

  1. Select the polyline to display its grips.
  2. Select a grip and drag it to the new location.

To Add a Vertex

  1. Select the polyline to display its grips.
  2. Hover over the vertex grip until the menu displays.
  3. Click Add Vertex.
  4. Specify a new vertex point.

To Remove a Vertex

  1. Select the polyline to display its grips.
  2. Hover over the vertex grip until the menu displays.
  3. Click Remove Vertex.

To Convert a Line Segment to an Arc Segment

  1. Select the polyline to display its grips.
  2. Hover over the grip in the middle of the line segment you want to convert.
  3. Click Convert to Arc.
  4. Specify the midpoint of the arc segment.

To Convert an Arc Segment to a Line Segment

  1. Select the polyline to display its grips.
  2. Hover over the grip in the middle of the arc.
  3. Click Convert to Line.

To Change the Polyline Width

  1. Click Modify > Object > Polyline on the main menu.
  2. Select the polyline to change.
  3. Enter W (Width) at the command prompt to specify a new width for the entire polyline.
  4. Specify a new width for all segments.

To Change the Width of Individual Segments

  1. Click Modify > Object > Polyline on the main menu.
  2. Select the polyline to change.
  3. Enter E (Edit vertex) at the command prompt.
  4. Enter W (Width) at the command prompt.
  5. Specify the starting width for the next segment.
  6. Specify the ending width for the next segment.
  7. Press Enter to move to the next vertex or enter X (eXit) to stop editing the vertex.

To Convert to a Spline Fit Polyline

  1. Select the polyline to display its grips.
  2. Right-click and select Polyline > Spline Fit.

To Convert to a Curve Fit Polyline

  1. Select the polyline to display its grips.
  2. Right-click and select Polyline > Curve Fit.
