To Draw Polylines

GstarCAD 2027 · Command Reference

A polyline is a single object with connected sequence of line segments or/and arc segments. You can set the global width of polyline and the starting and ending width for each segments.

When you draw a polyline, you can switch to arc by entering A, and you can switch back by entering L. After you draw more than one segment, you can close the polyline, undo or finish.

To Draw a Polyline with Straight and Curved Segments

  1. Select Draw > Polyline on the main menu.
  2. Specify the start point of the polyline.
  3. Specify the end point of the first segment.
  4. Switch to Arc mode by entering A (Arc) at the Command prompt.
  5. Return to Line mode by entering L (Line).
  6. Specify additional segments as needed.
  7. Press Enter to end, or enter C to close the polyline.

To Draw Rectangles

Use the RECTANGLE command to create rectangular shape polylines. You can specify the length, width, area, dimensions and rotations.

  1. Do one of the followings: - Select Draw > Rectangle on the main menu. - Click the Rectangle tool on the Draw toolbar. - Type RECTANG or REC and press Enter.
  2. Identify one corner of the rectangle or enter an option.

Specify first corner point or [Chamfer/Elevation/Fillet/Thickness/Width/Oblique]: 3. Identify the opposite corner of the rectangle or enter an option.

To Draw Polygons

You can draw a polygon by specifying the edge, Inscribing in circle or Circumscribing about circle.

  1. Click Draw > Polygon on the main menu.
  2. Enter the number of sides.
  3. Specify the center of the polygon.
  4. Enter I to specify a polygon inscribed within a circle, Enter C to specify a polygon circumscribed about a circle.
  5. Specify the radius of the circle.

To Draw a Polygon by Specifying One Edge

  1. Click Draw > Polygon on the main menu.
  2. Enter the number of sides.
  3. Enter E at the command prompt.
  4. Specify the first and second endpoint of edge.

To Draw a Boundary Polyline

  1. Click Draw > Boundary on the main menu.
  2. The Boundary Creation dialog box is displayed, select PLine in the Object type list.
  3. Click Pick Points and then pick internal points within each area to form a boundary polyline. Note: Each area must be enclosed.
  4. Press Enter to create the boundary polylines and end the command.
