Save and Restore Views

GstarCAD 2027 · Command Reference

If you have saved specific views by name, you can restore them for layout and plotting or when you need to refer to specific details.

Save a view

The following settings are saved when you name and save a view :

• View scale, view position and view direction
• User coordinate system
• The location of the view (the Model tab or a specific Layout tab)

Restoring a view

A named view can be used for the following operations:

• Restore the view that use frequently
• To specify the plotted area
• To control which model space view is displayed when the drawing is opened.
