GstarCAD 2027 · Command Reference
Before you start printing, you can set relative properties like paper size, drawing orientation, plot scale and plot area.
Set Paper Size
In the Plot dialog box, select the paper size that you want to use. The list of paper sizes is depending on the printer or plotter you have selected.
Use a Custom Paper Size
You can also add a custom paper size for a non-system plotter by using the Plotter Configuration Editor.
Specify Plotted Position and offset
You can change the position of plot relative to the the printable area or to the edge of paper. You can offset the drawing by entering X/Y positive or negative values.
Set Drawing Orientation
You can set the position of the plotted drawing as Landscape or Portrait based on the chosen selected paper size. You can also plot upside-down.
Set Plot Scale
You can choose from a list of scales, enter you own scale, or select Fit to paper to specify a scale for outputting your drawing.
Set Options for Plotted Objects
Plotted objects will be influenced by the following plotted options:Plot Object Lineweights, Plot with Plot Styles and Save Changes to Layout.
Specify the Area to Plot
You can identify the area of the drawing to plot. You will find the following option for the plot area in the Plot dialog box: Display, Window, Layout and Extents.
Preview
You can use the Plot dialog box to preview the drawing and it will show accurately how the drawing will look when plotted, including lineweights, fill patterns, and other plot style options.
