Function Description:

This new function allows to batch purge the excess objects such as blocks, layers, linetype, dimension style or text style on several DWG files. The BATPURGE command doesn't need to open files. It executes the command of purge directly, which makes it run with very high efficiency.

Four new types of purge have been added to GstarCAD 2026, including: Regapps, Zero geometry, Empty text objects and orphaned data.

The DWG Files Batch Purge dialog box is displayed.

Dialog Box Options:

Files List

Lists the files to purge.

Add Files

Only files selected by the user are added to the current list.

Add Folder

Add all files in the directory specified by the user to the list.

Select All

Selects all files in the Files List.

Select None

Makes all files in the Files List unselected.

Delete

Removes the selected file from the Files List.

Clear

Removes all files in the Files List.

Regapps

Deletes the registered application (REGAPP data).

Zero geometry

Deletes geometry of zero length, including lines, arcs, circles, and polylines.

Empty text objects

Deletes mtext and text objects that contain only spaces without any text.

Orphaned data

Performs a drawing scan and removes obsolete DGN linestyle data when you open the Purge dialog box.

Start Purge

Starts to purge files.

Log

Creates a log file, which contains the result of the purge operation and other information.
