Function Description: In actual use, different projects or scenarios may require different units. For example, architectural design might use meters or millimeters as the unit, while mechanical design might use inches or millimeters.

In GstarCAD 2025, the new DWGUNITS command has been added to support the modification of drawing units, allowing users to ensure that the dimensions and annotations of their drawings comply with standardized requirements. This helps to prevent errors caused by different size units and increases the readability of the drawings.

The following information is displayed according to the command execution process:

Note: Different steps may be prompted when selecting different options, and the command line prompts should be followed.

Drawing units: [1.Inches/2.Feet/3.Millimeters/4.Centimeters/5.Decimeters/6.Meters]:

Select the graphic length unit. The default graphic unit for imperial drawings is "(3) Millimeters," and for metric drawings, it is "(1) Inches," including the following six common units:

Drawing unit display formats: [1.Scientific/2.Decimal/3.Engineering/4.Architectural/5.Fractional]:

Select the display format for graphic units:

Enter linear display precision (3)

Select the linear display precision:

Scale objects from other drawings upon insert? [Yes(Y)/No(N)] \<Yes(Y)>:

Control the scaling unit when inserting another drawing into the current drawing. When a user inserts a graphic object into the current drawing, whether the object will be scaled according to the size of other existing graphic objects.

If set to "Yes," the inserted object may be scaled according to the proportion of other objects to better match the current drawing environment.

Match INSUNITS to drawing units? [Yes(Y)/No(N)] \<Yes(Y)>:

The size of the object matches the scale of the drawing. If set to "Yes," the inserted object will be measured and displayed in the same units as the current drawing.

Scale objects in current drawing to reflect change in units? [Yes(Y)/No(N)] \<Yes(Y)>:

Control to keep the dimensions and scale consistent under the new units.

Include objects in Paper Space? [Yes(Y)/No(N)] \<Yes(Y)>:

Controls whether to change the units of paper space.

When a user converts a drawing with units in millimeters (metric) to a drawing with units in inches (imperial), after executing the DWGUNITS command, the unit of the object is modified.
