DIMLINEAR Command

Function Description:

This command is used to create a linear dimension. Creates a linear dimension with a horizontal, vertical or rotated dimension line. This command can be replaced by DIMHORIZONTAL and DIMVERTICAL commands.

Command Prompts:

Specify first extension line origin or \<select object>:
Select object to dimension:
Specify dimension line location or
[Mtext/Text/Angle/Horizontal/Vertical/Rotated]:

First extension line origin

After specifying the first extension line origin, it will prompt to specify the second extension line origin.

Dimension line location

Uses the point you specify to locate the dimension line and determines the direction to draw the extension lines.

Mtext

Edits the dimension text by In-place Text Editor. Users can enter special characters and symbols by control codes or Unicode character strings.
If alternate units are not turned on in the dimension style, users can enter square brackets ([]) to display them.
The current dimension style determines the appearance of the generated measurements.

Text

Customizes the dimension text at the Command prompt.
The generated dimension measurement is displayed in angle brackets (\<>).If alternate units are not turned on in the dimension style, users can enter square brackets ([]) to display them.
User can reset the dimension text properties in Text tab of the New, Modify, and Override in Dimension Style Manager dialog box.
