DIMDIAMETER Command

Function Description:

This command is used to create a diameter dimension for an arc or a circle. Measures the diameter of a selected circle or arc and displays the dimension text with a diameter symbol in front of it. You can use grips to easily reposition the resulting diameter dimension

Command Access:

Ribbon: Annotation > Dimension > Diameter
Toolbar: Dimension > Diameter
Command: DIMDIAMETER

Command Prompts:

Select arc or circle:

Specify dimension line location or [Mtext/Text/Angle]:

Select arc or circle

Specifies a circle, arc or arc segment on a polyline.

Dimension line location

Specifies a point to determine the angle of the dimension line and the location of the dimension text..

Mtext

Edits the dimension text by In-place Text Editor. Users can enter special characters and symbols by control code or Unicode character strings.
If alternate units are not turned on in the dimension style, users can enter square brackets ([]) to display them.
The current dimension style determines the appearance of the dimension text.

Text

Customizes the dimension text at the Command prompt.
The generated dimension measurement is displayed in angle brackets (\<>). If alternate units are not turned on in the dimension style, users can enter square brackets ([]) to display them.
User can reset the dimension text properties in Text tab of New, Modify, and Override in the Dimension Style Manager Dialog box.

Angle

Changes the angle of the dimension text.
