SETBYLAYER Command

Function Description:

This command is used to change the property overrides of selected objects to ByLayer.

Command Access:

Icon:
Menu: Modify > Change to ByLayer
Ribbon: Home > Modify > Change to ByLayer
Toolbar: /
Command: SETBYLAYER
Alias: /

Command Prompts:

The following prompts are displayed. They differ, depending on whether objects are selected before you start the command.

If no objects are selected, the following prompt is displayed.

Select objects or [Settings]:

Specifies which object should inherit layer properties.

Displays the SetByLayer Settings dialog box, in which you can specify which object properties are set to ByLayer.

If objects are selected, the following prompt is displayed.

Change ByBlock to ByLayer? [Yes/No] \<Yes>:

Include blocks? [Yes/No] \<Yes>:
