Function Description:

Loads, sets up and modifies linetypes.

Dialog Box Options:

Linetype Filters

Determines which linetypes to display in the linetype list. Users can filter linetypes according to the following ways: whether they are dependent on Xref or whether they are referenced.

• Invert Filter: Displays linetypes by specifying the opposite conditions. The linetypes which fit the inverse filter conditions  are displayed in the linetype list.

Load

Displays the Load or Reload Linetypes dialog box. Users can select a linetype from the gcadiso.lin file and add it to the linetype list.

Current

Sets the selected linetype to be the current linetype. Setting the current linetype to BYLAYER, it means the objects are created by the linetype of a specified layer. Setting the current linetype to BYBLOCK, it means the new created object uses the CONTINUOUS linetype until forming a block. No matter when inserting a block, objects in a block inherit the linetype of a block. The linetype name is saved in the CELTYPE system variable.

Delete

Deletes selected linetypes from the drawing. Users can not delete the linetype of BYLAYER, BYBLOCK and CONTINUOUS. Only unused linetypes can be deleted.
Note: If the drawing is created by a shared project or based on a group of layer standards, users should be more careful when deleting linetypes in the drawing. The deleted linetype definitions are saved in gcadiso.lin file, users can reload them.

Show Details or Hide Details

Controls whether to display the details of the Linetype Manager.

Current Linetype

Displays the current linetype name.

List of Linetypes

Displays the loaded linetypes according to the option specified in Linetype Filters.

• Linetype: Displays names of loaded linetypes. Selecting and double-clicking the linetype name can rename it. The following linetype can not be renamed: BYLAYER, BYBLOCK,CONTINOUS and Xref dependent linetypes.
• Appearance: Displays the appearance of selected linetypes.
• Description: Displays the description of the linetypes.

Details

Provides another way to access to properties and additional settings.

• Name: Displays the name of the selected linetype. Users can edit it.
• Description: Displays the description of the selected linetype. Users can edit it.
• Use Paper Space Units for Scaling: Scales linetypes in paper space and model space identically. It is useful in multiple viewports. (PSLTSCALE system variable)
• Global Scale Factor: Displays the global scale factor for all linetypes.(LTSCALE system variable)
• Current Object Scale: Sets linetype scale for newly created objects. The regenerated scale is the multiply of the global scale factor and the scale factor of itself. (CELTSCALE system variable)
• Iso pen width: Sets the linetype scale to be one of a list of standard ISO values. The regenerated scale is the multiply of the global scale factor and the scale factor of itself.
