LAYVPI Command

Function Description:

This command is used to freeze selected layers in all layout viewports except the current viewport.
This command can isolate the layer of a selected object. Users can choose to isolate all layouts or the current layout only. This command can apply the Freeze option in the Layer Properties Manager automatically. Users can freeze the layer in all other viewports by selecting an object on it.
Note: The LAYVPI command works only when the TILEMODE system variable is set to 0 and when two or more paper space viewports are defined.

Command Prompts:

Select objects on the layer(s) to be isolated or [Settings/Undo]:

Select objects on the layer(s) to be isolated

Selects an object whose layer you want to isolate in a viewport.

Settings

Displays the settings of Viewports and Block Definition. The setting you choose persists from session to session.

• Layouts:Displays layout options that used to isolate layers.
  All layouts: In all layouts, isolates all layers of selected objects except in current layout viewport.
  Current layout: In the current layout, isolates all layers of selected objects except in current layout viewport. This option persists from session to session.
• Block selection: Displays the settings of block selection, users can freeze layers of selected objects.
  Block: Isolates the layers of selected objects. If a select object is nested in a block, it will isolate the layer of that block. If a selected object is nested in an external reference, it will isolate the layer of  the object.
  Entity: Isolates the layer of a selected object even if the selected object is nested in an external reference or a block.
  None: Isolates the layers of selected objects. If selecting a block or an external reference, it will isolate the layer that the block or external reference belongs to.

Undo

Cancels the selection of the previous layer.
