LAYISO Command

Function Description:

This command is used to hide or lock all layers except those of the selected objects. According to the current settings, all layers are turned off, frozen or locked in the current layout viewport except the layers of the selected objects. The layers that remain visible and unlocked are called isolated layers.

Command Prompts:

Select objects on the layer(s) to be isolated or [Settings]:

Select object on the layer(s) to be isolated

Selects one or more objects, according to the current settings, all layers are turned off, frozen or locked in the current layout viewport except the layers of the selected objects. The layers that remain visible and unlocked are called isolated layers.
Note: Locked layers are faded by default. Users can specify the percent of the fading from the Lock option in this command. You can later change the value by the LAYLOCKFADECTL system variable. If layers are changed by LAYISO command, users can restore the layers to the state they were in immediately by the LAYUNISO command.

Settings

Controls whether to turn off, freeze, or lock layers in the current layout viewports.

Vpfreeze: Only freezes all layers except the selected layers in the current layout viewport. Layers in other layout viewports remain unchanged. If layers are out of the current layout viewport, they are turned off instead.
Off: Turns off all layers except the selected layers in all viewports.
