LAYER Command

Function Description:

This command is used to manager layers and layer properties. The Layer Properties Manager palette is displayed.
Users can use the LAYER command to control the visibility and some specified properties of objects, such as color and linetype. Object properties are usually consistent with layers. However users can replace object properties by any other layers. For example, specify the layer color to BYLAYER, the color of an object is the same as the specified layer. If change its color to RED, the color of the object turns to red without regardless of the specified layer color. If you enter -LAYER at the Command prompt, options are displayed.
