Function Description:

This command is used to rotate a selected object around a specified base point.

Command Access:

Icon:
Menu: Modify > Rotate
Ribbon: Home > Modify > Rotate
Toolbar: Modify > Rotate
Command: ROTATE
Alias: RO
Shortcut: Select an object and right-click, and then click Rotate

Command Prompts:

Select object:
Specify the base point:
Specify rotation angle or [Copy/Multiple/Reference] \<0>:

Rotation angle

Specifies the rotation angle. The rotation axis passes through the specified base point and is parallel to the Z axis of the current UCS.

Copy

Creates a copy of the selected objects.

Reference

Specifies a reference angle, the selected object is rotated to a new absolute angle referencing to the specified reference angle.

Rotating selected objects, the borders of the viewport is parallel to the edges of the drawing area.
