The command window is a dockable and resizable window, which can display commands, system variables, options, messages and prompts.

Enter Commands on the Command Line
To enter a command you can use the keyboard. Some commands also have abbreviated names called command aliases.

Enter System Variables on the Command Line
How certain commands work is controlled by setting system variables.

Navigate and Edit Within the Command Window
To correct or repeat commands, you can edit text in the command window.

Switch Between The Dialog Box and the Command Line
Instead of using a dialog box or switching back again, you can display prompts on the command line. When you use scripts, this option is most useful.
