The EDGEMODE system variable is used to control the way to determine the edge of boundary or the edge to trim when executing the TRIM and EXTEND commands.

System Variable Value:
0 :use the selected edge without extension line
1 : use the selected edge without extension line
Line, arc, ellipse arc, xline or polyline are all natural extension objects.
The natural extension of line and xline are infinite line.
The natural extension of arc is a circle.
The natural extension of ellipse arc is an ellipse.
The polyline could be split to be lines and arcs, and naturally extents to their boundaries
