Overview of Layers

As the main organizational tool for drawings, layers can be used to group information by function and to enforce linetype, color and other standards.
The following settings can be controlled: the default color, default linetype and lineweight, visibility and brightness, modify and display objects with different layer properties in individual layout viewports.
You start each new drawing with a layer named 0. This layer 0 cannot be deleted or renamed for the following reasons:
- Every drawing has at least one layer
- It is a special layer that relates to controlling colors in blocks
