LAYMRG Command

Function Description:
This command is used to merge the selected layer into the target layer and delete
the previous one.
Users can reduce the number of layers in a drawing by this
command. Objects on the selected layers are moved to the target layer, and the
original layers are purged from the drawing. If you enter -LAYMRG at the Command
prompt, options are displayed.

Command Prompts:
Select object on layer to merge or [Name]:
Select object on layer to merge
Select an object on the layer whose objects will be moved to the target layer.
Name
Displays the Merge Layers dialog box, where you can select the name of a layer whose objects will be moved. Presses Ctrl + click to select more than one layer.
Undo
Removes the previous selection from the list of layers to merge.
Select object on target layer
Selects an object on the layer whose properties you want to retain.
Name
Displays the Merge to Layer dialog box, where you can select the name of a layer where the objects will be moved.
