Calculate distances and angles
You can get information about the relation between two points by inquiring distance. You can get informations as following:
Distance \= 1525.7461, Angle in XY Plane \= 29, Angle from XY Plane \= 0
Delta X \= 1332.6216, Delta Y \= 742.9812, Delta Z \= 0.0000
How to calculate the distances and angles:
1. Do one of the followings:
- Type dist or di and press Enter.
- Choose Tools > Inquiry > Distance.
- Click the Dist button on the Inquiry toolbar.
2. Specify two points.
Calculate area
With the AREA command, you can specify a sequence of points or select an object such as circle or closed polyline to calculate the area and perimeter. You can also calculate the combined area of more than one object by adding or subtracting area from the total area. Total area and perimeter are saved in the AREA and PERIMETER system variables.
