Function Description:
The Boundary Creation Dialog Box is used to define object type, boundary set, and island detection method when creating a region or polyline by specified points within a region enclosed by objects.
Dialog Box Options:
Pick Points
Specifies one point in a closed region, the boundary can be determined by it.
Island detection
Controls the boundary type. The boundary can be created by regions or polylines.
Object Type
This closed boundary is called island. Specifies the type of the new boundary object. BOUNDARY command creates the boundary as a region or a polyline object.
Boundary Set
When specifying the boundary by a point, the boundary set is a set of objects which need to be analyzed.
- Current Viewport: Defines the boundary set from everything in the current viewport extents. Current boundary set will be discarded when you select this option.
- New: Prompts you to select the objects that define the boundary set. Only the objects, that can be used to create a region or closed polyline, can be selected to construct the new boundary set.
