AREATABLE command automatically dimension and count the area of an enclosed object and export the result to a table in the current drawing area.
- The enclosed area or object can be marked with a number or area symbol, and the area table data can be generated at the same time.
- The area data can be exported to a text or table file.
- The values in the table can be changed automatically when the number or area size is changed.
After entering the command, the "Area Table" dialog box is displayed as shown in the following picture.
Dialog Box Options
Border
- Pick Point: Pick an internal point.
- Select Object: Select a closed object.
Text Settings
- Dim Area: Write area in the drawing.
- Dim Number: Write number in the drawing.
- Text Style: List the available text styles.
- Text Height: Set the text height of area and number.
- Text Location: Specify the position of area and number.
- Start Number: Start value of number, can be number or letter.
- Area Prefix: Text added before the area.
- Area Suffix: Text added after the area.
- Number Prefix: Text added before the number.
- Number Suffix: Text added after the number.
Output
- File Output: Output a file to record the area and the number.
Table Settings
- Create Table: Create a table to record the area and the number.
- Associate Number: The number in the table is associated with the number writed in the drawing.
- Calculate Sum Area: Calculate the sum of the areas in the table.
- Table Style: List the available table styles.
- Title: Specify the title of table.
- First Header: Specify the header text of first column.
- Second Header: Specify the header text of second column.
Transform Units
- Units From: Select the units of drawing.
- Units To: Select the units of area.
- Ratio: The scale factor of conversion. If necessary, you can input manually.
