To Create Linear Dimensions

To Create a Linear Dimension with Angled Extension Lines
- Click Dimension > Linear on the main menu.
- Specify the first extension line origin.
- Specify the second extension line origin.
- Enter R at the command prompt.
- Specify the angle of the dimension line.
- Specify the dimension line location.
To Create a Continued Dimension
- Click Dimension > Continue on the main menu.
- Select continued dimension. This prompt is skipped if the first extension line origin can be assumed from the origin of the second extension line of the last created linear or angular dimension.
- Specify a second extension line origin.
- Press Enter twice to end the command.
To Create a Baseline Dimension
- Click Dimension > Baseline on the main menu.
- Select base dimension. This prompt is skipped if the first extension line origin can be assumed from the last created linear or angular dimension.
- Specify a second extension line origin.
- Continue to select extension line origins as needed.
- Press Enter twice to end the command.
To Modify a Dimension to Specify Oblique Extension Lines
- Click Dimension > Oblique on the main menu.
- Select an object.
- Enter an obliquing angle (press ENTER for none).
