SELECT Command

Function Description:
This command is used to place selected objects to the last selection set.
Under the SELECT command, the cursor is instead by a small box called the object selection target box or pick box.
Under the command prompt of the Select Object, users can select the Last option to display
the last selection set.

If you enter ? under the command prompt, options are displayed.
Expects a point or Window/Last/Crossing/BOX/ALL/Fence/WPolygon/CPolygon/Group/Add/Remove/Multiple/Previous/Undo/AUto/SIngle/SUbobject/Object
Window
Selects objects by a rectangle box that defined by two points. Users can select objects from left side to right side.
Last
Selects the last created visible objects. The selected objects must be in the current space (model space or paper space) and the layers of them can not be frozen or locked.
Crossing
Selects internal or intersected objects by a rectangle box that defined by two points. Users can select objects from right side to left side. The rectangle box is highlighted with dashed frame.
BOX
Selects internal or intersected objects by a rectangle box that defined by two points. If the two points are selected from right side to left side, the result is equivalent to Crossing option, on the contrary, if the two points are selected from left side to right side, the result is equivalent to Window option.
ALL
Selects all objects in model space or in the current layout except objects on frozen layers or locked layers.
Fence
Selects objects by drawing fences, all objects that intersected with fences are selected. The Fence option is similar to CPolygon option, but it can be enclosed and self-intersection. The Fence option is not affected by the PICKADD system variable.
WPolygon
Selects all internal objects by drawing polygon (determined by points around objects to be selected). This polygon can be random without self-intersection and tangency. It draws the last edge of the polygon automatically, so the polygon always closed. The WPolygon option is not affected by the PICKADD system variable.
CPolygon
Selects internal or intersected objects by drawing polygon (determined by points around objects to be selected). This polygon can be random without self-intersection and tangency. It draws the last edge of the polygon automatically, so the polygon always closed. The CPolygon option is not affected by the PICKADD system variable.
Group
Selects all objects in a specified group.
Add
Switches to ADD mode, users can add selected objects to a selection set in any ways. AUTO and ADD are the default modes.
Remove
Switches to REMOVE mode, users can remove selected objects in any ways. To replace this mode, users can select a single object and press Shift key, or use AUTO option.
Multiple
Selects objects without highlighting them. This way accelerates a selection speed of the complex objects.
Previous
Selects the latest created selection set. This option setting is cleared when objects removed.
Note: The LAST selection set is ignored when switching in two spaces.
Undo
Quits objects that currently added to a selection set.
AUto
Switches to automatic selection. Users can select objects by pointing to it. If users point to internal or external blank of an object, the point becomes the first corner point of the box selection. AUTO and ADD are the default modes.
SIngle
Switches to single selection. Users can select the first object or the first group of objects without prompting of select next object.
SUbobject
Users can use this option to select original shape one by one.
These shapes can be parts of composite entities or vertices, edges and
planes in 3D solids. Uses can select one of these subobjects or create a selection set with multiple subobjects.
The selection set can contain multiple types of subobjects.
Object
It is used to end the SUbobject option and allow users to select objects by other ways.
