Function Description:
This command is used to set up the specifications of a drawing.

Command Prompts: Different prompts are displayed, depending on whether you are currently in Model space or Paper space in a named layout.
MVSETUP in Model Space
Instead of using layouts in paper space, you can set up a drawing for plotting directly from model space. When the TILEMODE system variable is set to 1 (model space is active and paper space is turned off), the following prompt is displayed:
Enable paper space? [No/Yes] \<Y>:
- Y: Sets TILEMODE to 0 and proceeds using MVSETUP in paper space on a layout.
- N: Displays a list of available units and prompts for the scale factor and paper size:
Enter units type [Scientific/Decimal/Engineering/Architectural/Metric]:
MVSETUP in Paper Space
On a named layout, you can insert a title block into the drawing, and create a set of layout viewports in the title block area. When the TILEMODE system variable is off, or when you enter y or press Enter at the Enable Paper Space prompt, the following prompts are displayed.
Enter an option [Align/Create/Scale viewports/Options/Title block/Undo]:
- Align: Pans the view in a viewport so that it aligns with a base point in another viewport. The current viewport is the viewport that the other point moves to.
- Create: Creates viewports.
- Scale viewports: Adjusts the zoom scale factor of the objects displayed in the layout viewports. The zoom scale factor is a ratio between the scale of the border in paper space and the scale of the drawing objects displayed in the viewports.
- Options: Sets the MVSETUP preferences before you change your drawing.
- Title block: Prepares paper space, orients the drawing by setting the origin, and creates a drawing border and a title block.
- Undo: Reverses operations performed in the current MVSETUP session.
