Function Description:

This command is used to calculate the area and perimeter of specified objects or defined region.

Command Prompts:

Specify first corner point or [Object/Add area/Subtract area] \<Object>:

Specify first corner point

Calculates the area and the perimeter defined by specified points. Start by specifying the first corner point. All points must lie in a plane parallel to the XY plane of the current user coordinate system (UCS).

Object

Calculates the area and perimeter of a selected object.

Add area

Turns on Add mode and displays the total cumulative measurements of subsequent areas that you specify. You can pick points and select objects to obtain the calculation. For example, you can select two objects to obtain a total area.
