Function Description:

This command is used to create three-sided or four-sided face meshes in 3D space.

Command Access:

Menu: Draw > Modeling > Meshes > 3D Face
Ribbon: 3D > Mesh > 3D Face

Command Prompts:

Specify first point or [Invisible]:
Specify second point or [Invisible]:
Specify third point or [Invisible] \<exit>:
Specify fourth point or [Invisible] \<create three-sided face>:

First point

Defines the starting point for the 3D face. After specifying the first point, users can specify other points by clockwise or anticlockwise direction to create a common 3D face. If the specified four points are on the same plane, it creates a plane like a region. If coloring or rendering it, it will be filled.

Second point

Defines the second point for the 3D face.

Third point

Defines the third point for the 3D face.

Fourth point

Defines the fourth point for the 3D face.
The third point and fourth point prompts are repeated until users press Enter. Specify points 5 and 6 at these repeating prompts. When users finish entering points, press Enter.

Invisible

Controls the visibility of sides in 3D face. Entering “i” or “invisible” before specifying the first point, the first created side will be invisible.
This “invisible” setting must be defined before any object snap modes, XYZ filters or entering side’s coordinates. All sides of 3D face can be invisible and hidden in 2D wireframe mode. If coloring or rendering the 3D face, it will be displayed. The 3D faces can be combined into complex 3D surfaces.
